Sprouting Mud Rainbows

The internship is underway, and we are back at the mudding, planting, playing, and laughing.

Let's gather round...

We participated in the "Ecology Festival" in our village at the beginning of the month. These were the flyers we made to pass out. Thanks to illustrator Sonia Espulgas for inspiring the drawings.
This summer's drought doesn't seem to be bothering the hardcore fungi on the forest floor.
We are taking advantage of the low water level in the river to start the building of our mini-dam for installing micro-hydro energy.
The big mud building project is coming along wonderfully too. The house on the hill is getting all its details and fine-tuning. Installing the windows and doors...
...cobbing in the recycled car and old bus windows for inviting in more light on the top of the high walls...

...and a lesson in plastering...
...starting to get the fine layers of plaster on the adobe walls...
... the tree in the living room is springing into life...
This month we received a lot of visitors too, and of course, we get them involved in the mud play too!
A day in the kitchen making old fashioned soap.
The garden is being re-energized too. Sprouts are popping up...Bugs and blooms, and interns too.
Forking in the delicious new batch of compost.

Always time for Lulu-lovin.Ah, the sweet joys of gardening.
And bread creations... It gets fancy around here sometimes!
Still tickling the tomatoes out of the garden...

The slow gentle rain showers bring rainbows... and promises of more rain? Yes, please.
